Gear Prep

We've been busily packing our needed gear and prepping for our trip. We have lots of camping supplies already but we want to reduce what we're taking and also make sure we have everything in the case that we're not at a campground with a hookup. We have a solar panel to run some things in the camper and gas tanks too, so our fridge, some outlets and lights will all still work in the camper.  We needed a few more 12 volt to usb adapters so we can plug in usb fans and other chargers so we got some of those.

We decided we need smaller camping chairs that we can use at the campsites and at the beach too. We bought 5 of these compact chairs and are so excited about them!! No more loading up our camper bed with large chairs because these will fit in a much smaller space and we love them!

Jason and I both got microfiber quick-dry towels for Christmas from my parents so we have gotten the kids these towels too. They'll reduce space and dry more quickly.

We usually cook on an electric skillet but we also need a propane option so we got a Coleman Fold & Go grill. We really wanted the swapable griddle to go with it but can't find one anywhere so my parents are letting us borrow theirs!

We usually bring a large plastic 5 gallon water jug, but we don't want to have something that big with us all the time and still want an option to fill up on water. I bought these collapsible water jugs so we can fill them as needed, have an easier pouring option, and they collapse flat when they're empty.

Finally, I bought some travel maps on Etsy. I got a small USA sticker that I can use to color in the states that I've visited, just because I think it's fun. I got Evan and Ella each a USA map with matching state stickers so they can put a sticker on for each state they visit. Blake wants NOTHING to do with this. He hates stickers in general, but didn't even want a map to color, so he didn't get one. Jason is a minimalist and says that mine will be the same as his so he doesn't need one. We also have a pin map in our upstairs house hallway that we mark national parks we've visited on. It'll be fun to do when we return!

Trying out their new smaller chairs with some water jugs between them. LOL
